Raffael: Madonna Esterházy
Miklós Esterházy the Magnificient had comissioned Grundemann to catalogue the paintings. The prince did not buy too many paintings, however, he was probably the one to acquire Raffael’s Madonna, which was in the familiy’s posession already in the second half of the 18th century. Arthistory registers it under the title Madonna of Esterházy.
